Wales are able to win themselves one final free-kick right at the end, but they can't make it count and the referee blows his whistle for the last time just as Spain clear the danger.
89'
S. Vokes has scored a goal for Wales! Assist by D. Brooks.
Brooks has been brilliant since coming onto the pitch and set up Vokes with a stunning outside-of-the-boot cross. He perfectly picked out the big striker with his excellent ball into the box.
GOAL! Wales have pulled one back! Vokes has barely touched the ball tonight but he now has a goal to his name after beating Bartra in the air before sending a downward header past Kepa. The crowd are going wild!
88'
Great tackle by Gaya! Space opens up for Brooks, who immediately sprints towards the Spain box. He then tries to tee up Roberts to shoot, but just as the wing-back is about to pull the trigger Gaya dives in and dispossesses him with a brilliant sliding tackle.
87'
Spain quickly break forward over on the right flank and carve out a chance of their own. Rodrigo cuts inside and shoots, but Hennessey is able to save the effort before Jonny's follow-up header is easily smothered.

83'
Vital block by Richards! Not for the first time tonight, Gaya makes a nuisance of himself out wide and sends a dangerous cross into the penalty area, where Rodrigo tries to latch onto the ball but loses out to Richards at the last possible moment.
81'
Rodrigo enters the game and replaces Suso.
The visitors have made their final substitution of the night, with Rodrigo coming on to replace Suso.

Description
78'
Aspas has the ball in the back of the net, but it won't count! A clever pass is played through the Wales back line and towards Aspas, who meets it well and beats Hennessey with a low strike. The linesman's flag is quickly raised, though, denying Spain a fifth goal.
76'
Wales try their hardest to push forward from the restart as they attempt to find a way back into the game - or at least carve out a chance on goal - but a long ball towards Brooks can't quite find the Bournemouth midfielder and rolls out for a throw-in.
74'
Marc Bartra has scored a goal for Spain! Assist by Suso.
That really was a very well placed cross from Suso. The Milan forward has been in excellent form this evening.
GOAL! What a header by Bartra! A curling corner from Suso sails into the middle of the box and perfectly finds Bartra, who beats Chester in the air before sending a sublime header into the top corner of the net to make it 4-0.
73'
Iago Aspas enters the game and replaces Paco Alcácer.
Spain have made a further alteration, with Alcacer making way for Aspas.
71'
Great opportunity for Vokes! An attempted Spain attacking move fails to come to anything and the home side immediately hit them on the break. Brooks sprints into the penalty area and pokes a pass over to Vokes, who looks set to test Kepa from close range but is closed down and dispossessed at the vital moment.
69'
A pocket of space is left available just outside of the Wales box, where Rodri immediately pops up. He then tries to beat Hennessey with a low shot but it's comfortably dealt with by the goalkeeper at the near post.
67'
Morata is picked out inside the box once again, and this time it comes from a lofted cross by Suso. The ball into the penalty area is slightly overhit, though, and the Chelsea striker's first touch sends the ball behind for a goal-kick.
65'
Morata goes close! A clever attacking move down the left wing results in another good cross being fired over to the far post. Morata does well to rise high and latch onto the ball, but he can't quite hit the target from close range.
63'
Jonny enters the game and replaces César Azpilicueta.
Meanwhile, Jonny has come on to take the place of Azpilicueta and make his senior international debut.
62'
J. Richards enters the game and replaces B. Davies.
T. Lawrence enters the game and replaces D. John.
M. Smith enters the game and replaces J. Allen.
Wales have decided to make three more changes. Lawrence has come on, with John making way.
Allen is off, with Smith coming on to replace him.
And Richards has taken the place of Davies at the back.
60'
Vokes, who has seen little of the ball, heads down the left wing and towards the corner flag, where he's closed down by Azpilicueta. He spins and works the ball over to Ramsey, who shoots but fails to trouble Kepa from 30 yards out.
58'
Suso hits the crossbar! The Milan man cuts inside from the right flank and isn't closed down quickly enough by John. It allows him to unleash a wonderful curling strike that beats Hennessey but clips the top of the crossbar on its way over.
56'
Chance for Alcacer! More good play by Spain out wide results in a looping cross being sent into the heart of the box. It perfectly picks out Alcacer, but the striker can't quite hit the target with his headed effort and misses out on wrapping up his hat-trick.
54'
Suso, who has often been a threat over on the right wing, picks up the ball in space and quickly crosses. His low pass into the penalty area is a good one but Chester is there to get a toe on it.
52'
As was the case for much of the first half, Spain are comfortably dominating possession as Wales sit deep and try to soak up the pressure. It remains to be seen if that tactic will work, though, as it didn't go too smoothly before the break.
50'
A. King enters the game and replaces E. Ampadu.
Ampadu won't be able to continue, and he gingerly makes his way off the pitch to be replaced by King.
49'
Ampadu has gone down off the ball and looks to be in real discomfort. Wales are already getting a replacement ready, as there's no point in risking the youngster if he's picked up an injury.
48'
Early chance for Morata! A free-kick is taken quickly and sent into the path of the Chelsea striker, who tries to beat Hennessey but is closed down brilliantly by the goalkeeper just inside the box.
46'

And the second is Brooks, who replaces Wilson.
And Ramos has been replaced by Bartra in the heart of defence.
Spain, meanwhile, have made three alterations. Off goes Saul, with his Atletico Madrid team-mate Koke replacing him.
De Gea has also made way, with Kepa coming on to take his place in between the sticks.
We're underway once again!

HALF-TIME: WALES 0-3 SPAIN
45'
Wales attempt to hit Spain on one final attacking move before the half-time break, but an overhit long ball fails to find John out wide and instead bounces safely out of play for a goal-kick.
43'
They may be 3-0 down but Wales are showing some attacking intent on the rare occasions they’re able to get on the ball. There’s certainly space there for them to counter-attack into, but it’s proving incredibly difficult for them exploit it.
41'
John gets involved in the action once again as Wales push forward. He sprints forward and works the ball back to Ramsey, who quickly chips a pass into the penalty area. Vokes tries to latch onto it but is once again thwarted by De Gea.
39'
Almost a chance for Vokes! Space opens up over on the left wing, with John bursting down the flank before cutting inside and finding Vokes. The striker knocks the ball past Ramos and into the box, where he tries to shoot but is denied by a slightly heavy touch.
37'
Allen does well to dispossess Saul and stop him from counter-attacking, but Spain are quickly able to regain possession. They work the ball around much more slowly, though, as they don’t look in much of a rush to break forward.
35'
Ampadu hits the post! Ramsey and Wilson link up well deep down the right flank before the latter wins Wales their first corner of the game. It’s sent in by the winger and finds Ampadu, who rises high and clips the outside of the post with a close-range header.
33'
Allen is closed down by Saul and Spain quickly break forward. The Atletico Madrid midfielder twists and turns over on the left wing before crossing, but his ball into the box is slightly overhit and headed away by Davies.
31'
Wales enjoyed a good 10 minutes or so earlier in the half but find themselves firmly on the back foot once again. They look understandably glum due to their current predicament, and it’s left Spain in complete control as they search for a fourth goal before half-time.
29'
Paco Alcácer has scored a goal for Spain!
GOAL! It’s another for Spain! Suso causes problems out wide once again before sending a cross into the penalty area, where it bounces around dangerously. Wales aren’t able to clear the danger and a scuffed clearance from Wilson falls to Alcacer, who then blasts in his second goal of the evening to make it 3-0.
27'
Wales press a little higher up the pitch, and it results in De Gea blasting the ball out for a throw-in. The home side work the ball around well before Wilson tries to pick out John, but his pass is underhit and can only find a white shirt.
25'
Suso is left in far too much space over on the right flank, where he sends a dangerous cross into the box and towards Morata. The striker tries to get his head on the ball but is just beaten to it by Gunter, who knocks it behind for a corner.
23'
Allen is dispossessed in the middle of the pitch and Spain quickly try to counter-attack, but the hosts do well to close them down and force them into working the ball back to Ramos.
21'
Wales show some attacking intent from the restart and do well to win themselves a free-kick over on the right wing, where Wilson is clumsily fouled by Ramos. The youngster decides to shoot, but his audacious effort clears the crossbar by a few yards.
19'
Sergio Ramos has scored a goal for Spain! Assist by Suso.
Suso’s ball into the box was a brilliant one, but where were the Wales defenders? They were all over the place and left Ramos far too much space to operate in.
GOAL! It’s 2-0 to Spain! They’re able to take full advantage of the free-kick, with a beautifully placed cross perfectly setting up Ramos to beat Hennessey with a downward header.
18'
Spain manage to find some space in the middle of the pitch as they continue dominating possession. Morata pulls off a quick one-two before heading towards the penalty area, where he’s cynically pulled back by Gunter and wins his side a free-kick in a promising position.
16'
The home side are starting to put a bit more pressure on Spain in the middle of the pitch, and it’s beginning to disrupt the latter’s flow. Sensing they need to do more after falling behind so early, Wales are no longer sitting so deep inside their own half.
14'
After a lengthy period on the back foot, Wales are finally able to string together a series of decent passes. They’re immediately put under pressure by the visitors, though, and a rushed, wayward pass from Ampadu can only find a white shirt.
12'
Wales think they’ve been presented with a chance to counter-attack after winning possession midway inside the Spain half of the pitch, but the offside flag stops Wilson in his tracks as he breaks towards the box.
10'
Wales have barely laid a glove on Spain so far, and it could end up being a really difficult night for them if that continues to be the case. They aren’t pressing with nearly enough intensity, which is making life far too easy for La Roja.
8'
Paco Alcácer has scored a goal for Spain! Assist by Saúl.
It was Saul who attempted to beat Hennessey with a long-range strike, but Alcacer showed great composure to spin and shoot after finding himself with the ball at his feet.
GOAL! Alcacer makes it 1-0 to Spain! The visitors have been on the front foot since the first whistle and it’s no surprise they’re already in front. A looping cross isn’t fully dealt with by Hennessey, allowing Alcacer to latch onto an attempted Saul shot before finding the top left-hand corner of the net.
6'
Azpilicueta comfortably breaks into the Wales half of the pitch before playing a clever pass into the feet of Morata. The striker meets the ball well, spins and unleashes a low cross, but Hennessey is there to cut out the danger at the near post.
5'
Spain continue dominating possession and this time manage to pick out Suso over on the right flank. He cuts inside quickly and crosses, but it’s totally overhit and sails behind for a goal-kick.
3'
After an even start to the game, it’s Spain who attempt to push forward on the first attack of the evening. They patiently work the ball over to Suso, who rushes towards a long pass but can’t get there ahead of Davies.

We’re off!
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of today’s international friendly between Wales and Spain at the Principality Stadium.
Tonight’s game represents Ryan Giggs’ sixth game in charge of the country he represented 64 times as a player, and it’s certainly his biggest test yet. So far, signs of promise have been evident during the Manchester United legend’s burgeoning tenure, with Wales winning twice while also managing to hold Mexico to a goalless draw.
Uruguay and Denmark are the only sides to get the better of the Dragons since Giggs took over, and while the latter handed them a defeat in their last outing, there’s certainly a sense of optimism among Welsh fans at the moment. They got their Nations League campaign off to a brilliant start with a 4-1 thrashing of the Republic of Ireland, who they’ll be facing next week after tonight’s big clash.
An already difficult game has been made even tougher by the absence of Gareth Bale, who picked up a groin injury while in action for Real Madrid on the weekend. This summer’s chaotic World Cup would have been one Spain were wanting to quickly forget, and they’ve certainly done a good job of moving on thanks to the immediate impact made by Luis Enrique.
The former Barcelona boss has guided La Roja to back-to-back wins since taking charge, with an impressive victory at Wembley being followed by a merciless 6-0 thrashing of Croatia last month. With confidence high, Spain are certainly the favourites to leave victorious again this evening as they aim to perfectly prepare for Monday’s meeting with England.
There’s just over 15 minutes left to go until kick-off, so let’s have a look at how the two teams will be lining up tonight…
Wales substitutes: Jazz Richards, James Chester, Andy King, Tom Lawrence, Danny Ward, Tyler Roberts, George Thomas, David Brooks, Joe Rodon, Adam Davies, Ben Woodburn, Matt Smith.
Wales XI (3-4-2-1): Wayne Hennessey; Chris Gunter, Ashley Williams, Ben Davies; Connor Roberts, Joe Allen, Ethan Ampadu, Declan John; Harry Wilson, Aaron Ramsey; Sam Vokes.
Spain XI (4-3-3): David De Gea; Cesar Azpilicueta, Raul Albiol, Sergio Ramos, Jose Gaya; Saul, Rodri Hernandez, Dani Ceballos; Suso, Alvaro Morata, Paco Alcacer.
The two sides are making their way out onto the pitch, with just a few minutes to go until kick-off.
It’s proving to be a miserable evening for Wales, who have been second best since the first whistle and can have few complaints about the scoreline. Spain have comfortably been on the front foot, with excellent attacking play from Alcacer and a well-placed header from Ramos all but wrapping up the win at the halfway stage.
Tonight’s game has been a bruising one for Wales, and it’s unlikely they’ll be able to get back into the game in any meaningful way, but they still could give their fans something to cheer about with a goal. Spain are leaving pockets of space available whenever they push forward, and a bit more cleverness from the home side could result in a goal on the break.
The two teams are making their way back out on to the pitch ahead of the start of the second half. Both sides look as if they're about to make changes.
Next Tuesday sees Wales return to Nations League action, as they'll be aiming to get the better of the Republic of Ireland for the second time in as many months. As for Spain, they face a tough clash against England, although after yet another impressive performance they'll be feeling confident about their chances of winning in Seville.
That's it for now but make sure you join us again tomorrow for more international action. Until then, goodbye!
