É. Flores has scored a goal for Peru! Assist by A. Polo.
Polo, who has caused problems on the wing all day, sent in a delightful curling low-cross that rolled between the goalkeeper and the defence before an unmarked Flores tucked the ball home at the far post!
GOOOALLLL!!! Flores tucks his shot home after a perfect cross in from Polo on the right wing! Surely Peru have snatched a point here tonight! United States 1-1 Peru.

Minute
Description
77'
Wood gets played into the box and he cuts a pass back towards Weah, but the latter lets it run and it lands at the feet of Sweat whose shot is headed behind for a throw in! That would have been quite the moment for Sweat had he scored on his full debut!
75'
Peru are passing the ball around the opposing penalty area but just can't seem to find that final ball through the United States' defence.
SHOT! Polo forgoes the final pass we just mentioned, and instead lashes an effort from the top of the box and it struck the underside of the bar but stayed out! How unlucky!
73'
Reyna goes on a pwerful run through the midfield, shrugging off Trapp in the process before passing the ball wide to Polo.
71'
Yotun takes a swerving effort from outside of the box, but it's movement carries it right into the chest of Guzan.
69'
B. Wood enters the game and replaces J. Sargent.
Goalscoring teenager Josh Sargent is withdrawn with Bobby Wood coming on in his stead.
67'
P. Aquino enters the game and replaces R. Tapia.
Another swap for Peru as Aquino comes on for Tapia.
66'
Y. Yotún enters the game and replaces S. Peña.
Pena comes off for defender Yoshimar Yotun.
63'
It looks as though there's been a nother tactical switch as Green seems to be playing up front in a pairing with Sargent. Seems to be a 4-4-2 now on the whole.
61'
The free-kick looked to be a dangerous one but Julian Green did well to step up and block it. Great effort from the recent substitute!
60'
Carter-Vickers fouls Ruidiaz right outside of the box but escapes further judgement from the referee. Can Peru pull of some set-piece magic of their own?
59'
Y. Reyna enters the game and replaces P. Hurtado.
Substitution Christopher Paolo César Hurtado Huertas José Yordy Reyna Serna
58'
Hurtado is now back on his feet and it looks like he will continue.

Things taking a bit of a physical turn as Callens racks up another foul for Peru, their ninth of the match.
Timothy Weah is now shown yellow for a foul of his own on the left wing.
51'
Hurtado goes in heavy on Delgado in the attacking third giving away possession via the foul.
49'
J. Sargent has scored a goal for United States! Assist by K. Acosta.
GOOALLLLL!!!! Acosta took the free kick, pulling the ball back to Sargent on the floor! The young striker muddled the shot a bit but it deflected off Tapia which took it away from the hands of Carvallo and into the back of the net! United States 1-0 Peru.
Acosta played his role well in what was clearly a scripted set-piece play! He kept his pass low and found Sargent on the run which was perfectly timed and led to the goal!
48'
Callens fouls Amon deep in his own half which will give a dangerous free kick to the United States. Can they make the most of it?
47'
SHOT! Sargent works his way into the box before laying it off to Weah on the run... but the latter's shot blasts just wide of goal. That should have given the Americans' the lead!
46'
J. Madrid enters the game and replaces L. Advíncula.
Advincula, who was on a yellow card, is withdrawn for Johan Madrid.
We're back underway for the second half!
45' +2
HALF TIME: United States 0-0 Peru
45'
L. Advíncula gets yellow.
There will be two minutes of added time.
Advincula is shown a yellow card for blocking off Weah on the left wing.
43'
Peru continue to rack up possession, passing the ball freely in the opposing half. They have now had the ball for 68.8% of this match thus far.
40'
Cannon joins the attack and is dispossessed after trying to round Loyola with pace. The young Americans' lack of experience is showing at the moment as they make mistake after mistake.
38'
Advincula sends in an early cross towards Ruidiaz, but Guzan comes off his line to snatch the ball from the air before it causes any trouble. Solid goalkeeping there.
33'
A bit of a tactical swap now as Amon and Weah swap flanks, presumably to try and keep Advincula from being able to constantly bomb forward and join the Peruvian attack.
31'
Peru have turned up the pressure now pressing all the way up to the American's penalty area, nicking a quick pair of interceptions in dangerous areas. Nothing has come of it though... yet.
29'
Advincula beats his man with a cheeky heel flick before sending the ball over to Loyola who tried a first-time effort from range, but missed high and wide of Guzan's goal.
26'
Now Acosta is on the recieving end of a hard challenge as Tapia is called for the foul.
25'
Acosta gets called for a foul on Hurtado, the United States' second of the match.
23'
After a fast-paced counter-attack, Polo dribbled past Amon and tried a curling effort from outside the box but the former failed to test Guzan as the chance drifted wide. Both sides have looked very dangerous on the counter thus far!
22'
Hurtado seems the best outlet forward for Peru as he finds space on the right again before his cross gets deflected behind for another Peru corner.
20'
Ramos seemed to have played an excellent through ball to Hurtado on the right flank, but the latter made his run too early and is flagged for offside.
17'
Ruidiaz beats the offside trap and is found with a lofted ball, he just couldn't bring it down in stride which allowed the opposing defence to recover. So close to brilliant there from Peru!
15'
Amon was played in behind the defence and he tried to flick the ball over to Weah with the outside of his boot but he just couldn't find the wide man who was running unmarked in the box!
14'
Peru are now racking up possession as they pass the ball amongst the defence with no press shown by the hosts.
12'
At the other end, Delgado passes out wide to Weah in loads of space on the right! The latter passes the ball into Sargent but he can't sort his feet out and the chance goes wanting. Good buildup from team USA there.
9'
Polo went on a fantastic run after a loose pass from Sargent! The former dribbled past Long with ease and flicked the ball over another defender before passing the ball to the penalty spot before it was deflected away. That should wake up the American defence!
7'
Ramos tries to play Advincula in behind the defence but the pass is too heavy and rolls out of play. Some careless passing from both sides in the early stages here.
5'
Guzan struggles to play the ball out from the back, barely getting it to Carter-Vickers who, under pressure, kicked it out for a throw in. That could have caused real trouble for the Americans!
4'
Polo charges at Sweat down the right wing and the defender can only put the ball out behind for a Peru corner, the first of the match.
2'
For those interested, the United States are wearing all blue while Peru come out wearing all red.
Hurtado is down clasping at his leg early after a heavy challenge from Acosta however it does look like he will be able to continue.
1'
The referee's whistle blows and we're underway!
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of this international friendly between the United States and Peru!
We should be in for an exciting match tonight as Peru and the United States sit 21st and 22nd respectively in the official FIFA rankings! Historically, this matchup has been a fairly balanced one as well with the Americans boasting a slight lead over their previous six matches against the South Amercian side (3W, 2L, 1D).
Now let's take a look at the team news for these two countries!
United States (4-1-4-1): Brad Guzan; Reggie Cannon, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Aaron Long, Ben Sweat; Wil Trapp (c); Tim Weah, Marky Delgado, Kellyn Acosta, Jonathan Amon; Josh Sargent.
United States subs: Ethan Horvath, DeAndre Yedlin, Matt Miazga, Michael Bradley, John Brooks, Bobby Wood, Fafa Picault, Julian Green, Antonee Robinson.
Peru (4-2-3-1): Jose Carvallo; Luis Advincula, Christian Ramos, Alexander Callens, Nilson Loyola; Renato Tapia, Sergio Pena; Andy Polo, Paolo Hurtado, Edison Flores; Raul Ruidiaz.
Peru subs: Miguel Trauco, Yordy Reyna, Anderson Santamaria, Wilder Cartagena, Johan Madrid, Horacio Calcaterra, Patricio Alvarez, Christian Cueva, Andre Carrillo, Yoshimar Yotun, Pedro Aquino, Pedro Gallese.
The teams are walking out of the tunnel now! Just a couple of national anthems and some handshakes to go before kick-off!
This Peruvian side looks very different than the one we saw at the World Cup with just four players involved who also took part in their 2-0 win against Australia in Russia. The biggest of their missing stars is certainly goalscorer Paolo Guerrero. The striker was facing a 14-month ban heading into the World Cup but it was frozen to allow him to participate on the world's biggest stage. Unfortunately for both himself and the Peruvian national team, that ban was recently re-instated which will see him suspended until the age of 36 making it unlikely, at this point, that he will ever wear a Peru kit again.
The United States team is talented but their youth and inexperience were fully on display in the first half. MIstakes were constantly made all over the pitch and save for a couple of quick counter-attacks, the Amercians looked inept in attack. The only solid performances in the first half were from the centre backs Carter-Vickers and Long who were communicating well and prevented any meaningful efforts from making it to goalkeeper Brad Guzan. The US can certainly turn things around in the second half if they can manage to eliminate some of the mistakes and sloppy passing, but that's a lot easier said than done.
Peru on the other hand have put in a cultured performance, showing the kind of experience and composure that their opponents are missing. In the absence of many of their World Cup players, Polo and Flores have looked fantastic in attack and seem to imply a bright future for Peruvian football. Obivously goalscoring is the main issue for them, as it was in Russia. Manager Ricardo Gareca will need Ruidiaz to be a bit more involved in play if they are to score tonight and/or in future matches.
It looks like there have been several changes at the half and, of course, we'll bring them to you as soon as we get all of that information!
That will do it for our live coverage of this friendly between the United States and Peru! We hope you enjoyed following along and will join us again soon!
For the United States, this match was very much a mixed bag. We saw the ups and downs of playing with such a young squad but there are certainly promising signs for whoever becomes the manager American national team. While the late goal will be a blow for the defence, they largely played well and that goal can be put down to a communication issue with Yedlin who had come on just minutes before they conceded. There will be better days for Weah and Trapp but the experience they gained from a match against an experienced side like Peru will be invaluable.
Peru were excellent for long stretches of this match but there will certainly be concerns going forward about where the goals are meant to come from. Flores did well to score and sneak a point out of this match but they'll need more help from their forwards if they are to convert their passing and possession into goals in future. They would have been forgiven for putting in a bit of a lackadaisical effort after their win in the Clasico Pacifico on Friday, but we certainly saw no such thing as they certainly put in a fantastic effort tonight.
