M. Sissoko enters the game and replaces A. Griezmann.
Griezmann is replaced by Sissoko who comes on for the final seconds in which he'll struggle to make an impact.
90' +2
A. Griezmann gets yellow.
The referee adds to his late flurry of cards, booking Griezmann for dissent as he protested the aforementioned Bentancur tackle.
90' +1
Three minutes of added time to play!
France bolted away on the counter attack with Griezmann as they looked to kill the game off, but Bentancur tracked back and nicked the ball for his team! Griezmann seems to think it was a foul though!
89'
Not much time left for Uruguay to fight back now, with a minute to play plus stoppage time!
87'
Brilliant defending from Rami to clear the resulting free-kick! France then manage to get the ball upfield where Laxalt is forced to commit a foul to stop the counter.
86'
Suarez wins a free-kick as Kimpembe's dangling leg catches him illegally.
82'
B. Méndez gets yellow.
Méndez earns himself a booking for bringing down Fekir.
80'
A. Pléa enters the game and replaces O. Giroud.
Giroud acknowledges the referee on his way off the pitch, as Plea is on for the last 10 minutes or so.
79'
R. Bentancur gets yellow.
The referee has been lenient throughout, but clearly he's tired of letting things run and decides to show the yellow card to Bentancur for a needless foul.
Minute
Description
78'
Mendy attacks down the left once again, cutting inside this time after dropping a shoulder. The attack is brought to an abrupt end though, as Fekir carelessly gives away the ball.
74'
J. Rodríguez enters the game and replaces L. Torreira.
Arsenal's Torreira is substituted, Rodríguez is on for the final stages.
72'
France are keeping their shape defensively as Uruguay continually look to attack them, the counter attack looks on for the home team if they choose their moments carefully, the lead is still fragile!
70'
N. Fekir enters the game and replaces T. Ndombélé.
Fekir is on to replace Ndombele, he's put a shift in tonight in the midfield!
69'
Clever! Griezmann inventively chips the ball over Uruguay's defensive line as Ndombele ran in behind, this time Campana is the first to the ball though, stopping the attack and regaining possession for his team.
66'
Sometimes, it feels like France are playing in second or third gear. At any given moment, they can up the pace and intensity of their play and bamboozle the opposition. Their intricate passing has been too much for Uruguay's midfield to keep up with during some phases of play in the second half.
64'
Plenty of stoppages so far since the opening goal, meaning Uruguay are struggling to build momentum in attack. Lloris hasn't been threatened yet in the second half.
62'
S. Nzonzi enters the game and replaces B. Matuidi.
Another change, Matuidi is off and Nzonzi is on to tighten up the midfield area.
60'
G. de Arrascaeta enters the game and replaces F. Valverde.
First change for the away side. Valverde departs, he'll be replaced by de Arrascaeta.
We have just over thirty minutes plus added time remaining. Can Uruguay claw their way back into this, or are they heading for a similar fate to the last time when these two sides met?
57'
Looking back at the goal, the build up play from France before their penalty was simply scrumptious. Giroud, Griezmann and Thauvin were all involved in the move, sucking players in and creating space at the back post before the eventual penalty decision.
56'
France looked to be away on the attack once again for a moment, but Griezmann is ruled offside.
52'
Penalty goal scored by O. Giroud for France!
Penalty for France! It's a slight scramble in the box as Griezmann has his first shot blocked, his second one is then stopped by Caceres which the referee deemed to be a handball.
GOOOOAAAL! Giroud calmly strokes home a left-footed penalty into the corner and away from the keeper, who guessed correctly! 1-0 to the world champions! Was the penalty decision harsh though? Caceres' arms seemed to be by his side!
50'
Uruguay seem to be more keen to retain possession in the opening stages of the second period with some concise passing in midfield.
47'
Matuidi manages to get to the by-line and pull back a chipped cross, Giroud rises above everyone to win the header but can't get over it. It's over the bar and out for a goal kick.
46'
P. Kimpembe enters the game and replaces M. Sakho.
We're off for the second half!
One change at half-time for France. Sakho is replaced by Kimpembe, perhaps the Crystal Palace defender was feeling the effects of the aerial challenge with Bentancur from earlier in the game.
45' +1
HALF TIME: FRANCE 0-0 URUGUAY.
45'
As we approach the half-time whistle, it seems like we'll be goalless at the break. Will either side make a last minute push for to break the deadlock?
43'
Just as Uruguay thought they were on the attack, Kante is there to stop them. Not once, but twice he stepped in to characteristically win the ball back within about 10 seconds!
41'
Sakho clatters to the deck after an aerial battle with Bentancur, France win the free-kick and we're back in play.
Almost an electrifying introduction for Thauvin. Giroud's intelligent hold-up play and Pavard's offensive support allowed him to pick the ball up in the box, the substitute tried to wiggle through the defenders but it was too tight and it's out for a corner!
40'
Just as an attack was building, Matuidi is foolishly caught offside on the left wing as he received the ball in a crossing position.
38'
The game has become a bit scrappy due to constant stopagges currently, following Mbappe going down twice we've had a series of fouls from both teams.
36'
F. Thauvin enters the game and replaces K. Mbappé.
As expected, Mbappe is off and now Thauvin is ready to get involved as his replacement.
35'
Thauvin is warming up to enter the field of play, but France are down to 10 for the time being!
34'
Shortly after coming back onto the pitch, Mbappe is down again and this time he will almost certainly be replaced. He doesn't look in any fit state to continue.
33'
Mbappe is back on the pitch for the time being, although I'm sure someone from PSG is frantically trying to contact a member of staff at the National team to request he is removed from the pitch for protective purposes.
31'
The injury came from an almost identical situation to Mbappe's previous chance, where he chipped wide. This time, Campana left his goal at rapid pace and won the ball, but Mbappe took a tumble and picked up a knock in the process.
30'
Problems here for France, PSG and Mbappe as he trips over the keeper and goes down holding his shoulder, immediately requesting medical attention.
27'
Both full-backs for France have been extremely active, Pavard has the most touches so far of any player on the pitch with 32.
25'
Shot on goal for Uruguay, Suarez stabs it towards goal with the outside of his boot, but Lloris makes the catch look easy.
23'
Laxalt has been a constant presence on the left side for Uruguay, bombing on whenever he can from left-back to support the attack.
21'
Consdering this is a friendly at the end of an international break, the pace throughout this first half has been impressive. Both teams look hungry for goals and they're pulling no punches when it comes to tackling!
19'
Another huge chance for the home side! The free-kick is whipped in from the right and falls conveniently to Matuidi, his shot was heading for the back of the net, but a vital block sends it out for a second corner in quick succession. This game is heating up!
17'
Brief penalty claim for Uruguay, but nothing given by the referee as he rejects the calls for handball.
13'
France edged the first 10 minutes, but as this first half progresses, Uruguay are gradually growing into the game with increasing possession. With that being said, Giroud has still had the best chance of the game so far!
12'
Another one! Sakho fails to direct his header and it's out for a second corner kick for Uruguay.
11'
Laxalt's cross is deflected out for a corner as Uruguay look to launch their first serious attack.
8'
Giroud picks the ball up once again in the box, this time he fails to find the space for a shot and ends up dribbling away from goal, solid defensive shape from the visitors!
6'
Huge cheers from the crowd in Stade de France as Kylian Mbappe picks up the ball in his territory on the right wing, no damage done this time but there's no doubt we'll see more from him as the game progresses!
4'
First chance of the game! Great early pass from Matuidi to find Giroud, but his shot is just wide of the near post!
3'
Are you sure this is a friendly? We've had a couple of tasty tackles from Uruguay in the early stages!
2'
France are enjoying some early possession in Uruguay's half, but no goal threat just yet!
1'
We're off! France get us underway here in tonight's friendly match.

Les Bleus will be looking to round off an exceptional year with a home win tonight, but the South-American giants paying them a visit will be keen to dampen the mood and avenge their World Cup quarter-final loss.
France came closest to opening the scoring in the first 45 minutes, Giroud had an early chance but the best opportunities of the game were Mbappe's, the young forward has now left the field due to injury. Mendy and Pavard kept Uruguay busy but momentum has slowed since Mbappe's exit.
Uruguay had a strong spell after about twenty minutes, but their key men have struggled to get involved overall, particularly Suarez. As usual, they have looked defensively rigid and aggressive as a team, with Torreira displaying his tenacity on more than one ocassion.
France will be missing some key players such as Paul Pogba and Benjamin Mendy, but their strong XI is testament to their phenomenal strength in depth. Uruguay have their two main men up top and will be looking to punish a weakened France defence!
That's all from us tonight, thanks for joining us and catch you next time!
Ultimately, Uruguay were unable to get their revenge against the world champions after their quarter-final devastation in summer. However, they have some promising talent in midfield to compliment their world class strikers, as Torreira and Bentancur continue to develop. It's safe to say both sides will remain in the international heavyweight division in 2019!
