A fine header from Mounie to provide the assist and it does mean Huddersfield get a reward from their efforts. They have done well today and should take confidence from their performance.

Old Trafford in full voice now as the fans celebrate a routine victory. The Red Devils are still adrift of their top-six rivals in the Premier League but this does provide a significant boost, which could potentially be the turning point.

United would have still been expected to win this game if Jose Mourinho was still in charge but they would have been unlikely to show this sort of attacking flair. The shackles have been removed under Solskjaer and it is already leading to vast improvements.

Manchester United are looking comfortable now as they edge towards what will be a morale-boosting victory at Old Trafford. Huddersfield have performed well but do not have enough to be a threat.

First change of the game is an unsurprising one as Dalot has looked too complacent and he is replaced by Young.
Herrera also takes to the field to take a spot in the heart of midfield, taking the spot of Fred.
51'
Much better from Huddersfield as Mbenza steals possession off Dalot and tries to feed a pass into the a teammate in the middle. It does not find one but is met by Kachunga on the edge of the area, who lashes a shot over the top of De Gea's net.

WIDE! Rashford is full of confidence and looks to test Lossl with a dipping shot from outside the area but his attempt flies off target.

A quick succession of corners from Manchester United but the third delivery from Mata is easily collected by Lossl.

Strong defending from Jones to thwart Mbenza's efforts down the right side, with the Huddersfield man skipping into space and having options to find in the middle of the box.

Constant pressure from Manchester United as they look to take control of the game early on but Lossl is yet to be tested despite the dominating display from the home side.
9'
Huddersfield will know that defeat would see them remain bottom of the Premier League and will be desperate to secure a positive result.
7'
Nothing in the way of chances so far for Manchester United but it has been a positive start and the home faithful are full of support for their new boss.

Hello and welcome to our LIVE coverage of the Premier League clash between Manchester United and Huddersfield Town, where an action-packed Boxing Day continues.
United started life under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in perfect fashion at the weekend after hitting five past Cardiff City and will be expected to secure back-to-back victories against a Huddersfield side who have lost five in a row and enter the game rock-bottom of the table after Fulham's 1-1 draw with Wolves.
The two teams are heading onto the field ahead of the start of the game, where United will be expected to secure a comfortable victory.
Manchester United have the lead courtesy of Matic's goal and look good value for their lead, although Huddersfield have had opportunities. Wagner's side should have done better with the chances that were wasted by Kongolo and Billing, which has proven to be decisive, but United have certainly shown the capability to extend their advantage.
United will need to improve defensively in the second half, as they have given Huddersfield two glorious opportunities, but Solskjaer will be happy with his side's performance in attack. Huddersfield, meanwhile, have been the opposite as their defence has done well but their forward play has been wasteful.
Thanks for joining our coverage today. Until next time, goodbye.
Manchester United will look to continue their winning run when they tackle Bournemouth this weekend, where a victory will be expected, while Huddersfield face a crucial clash with fellow relegation candidates Fulham at Craven Cottage.
