The referee blows his whistle and this FA Cup semi-final is underway!
Watford thrashed Fulham 4-1 on Tuesday night, confirming the west London club’s relegation. Their run to the semi-final has been relatively favourable, though they did have to overcome two Premier League opponents in Crystal Palace and Newcastle. Javi Gracia’s side are enjoying an excellent campaign and will be confident of adding to that with a victory this afternoon.
Hello and welcome to the live commentary of the FA Cup semi-final between Watford and Wolves.

There's a stunning atmosphere at Wembley as the players walk onto the pitch for the pre-match formalities. The Watford fans are waving flags, creating a sea of yellow, black and red.
Wolves notched another impressive result in midweek, coming from behind to beat Manchester United at Molineux. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have made a habit of beating the top six this season, including knocking Manchester United and Liverpool out of the FA Cup. Losing at home to Watford in the Premier League in October will be on their minds ahead of this clash, however.
The manner of the goal will have frustrated Gracia. Doherty was left unmarked at the back post and Jota was given too much time to cross. Watford’s manager will be relatively pleased with his side’s defensive performance other than that, but the attack has been disappointing. Deulofeu is the obvious option off the bench as the Hornets look for an equaliser. Nuno will be delighted with how his side dealt with Deeney in the first half and will be in no rush to make any changes. Traore and Cavaleiro are options off the bench to provide pace on the break.
Jimenez put Wolves 2-0 up early in the second half and Watford struggled to create anything until the final few minutes. Deulofeu provided a spark off the bench, giving his team hope with a magical goal. Dendoncker conceded a penalty in added time and Deeney held his nerve to complete the comeback.
Watford lead Wolves 3-2 at half-time in extra time thanks to Deulofeu's goal. The Spaniard has completely changed the game since he came on and Watford are just 15 minutes from the FA Cup final.
Watford completed a sensational comeback at Wembley to reach the FA Cup final for only the second time in the club’s history. Gracia’s side will face Manchester City in the final on 18th May. Wolves will be very disappointed to let a two-goal lead slip and will now focus on finishing seventh in the Premier League.
Thanks for joining our live commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
