We're underway at Allianz Stadium.
Good afternoon and welcome to the live commentary of the Serie A clash between Juventus and Fiorentina at Allianz Stadium.
Juventus need only a point to clinch the Serie A crown for the eighth year on the bounce. The title would be a welcome success for I Bianconeri after a difficult week. The club were denied the opportunity to secure the crown, losing to SPAL. Massimiliano Allegri's men then suffered a familiar fate in the Champions League, losing 2-1 to Ajax on home soil to bow out in the last eight. Juve can put those negative headlines to bed with a victory to continue their dominance of Italian football.
JUVENTUS (4-3-3): Wojciech Szczesny; Joao Cancelo, Daniele Rugani, Leonardo Bonucci, Alex Sandro; Emre Can, Miralem Pjanic, Blaise Matuidi; Juan Cuadrado, Cristiano Ronaldo, Federico Bernadeschi.
JUVENTUS SUBS: Mattia De Sciglio, Andrea Barzagli, Moise Kean, Carlo Pinsoglio, Rodrigo Bentancur, Mattia Del Favero, Leonardo Spinazzola, Stephy Mavididi, Hans Nicolussi Caviglia.
FIORENTINA (3-5-2): Alban Lafont; Nikola Milenkovic, German Pezzella, Federico Ceccherini; Federico Chiesa, Bryan Dabo, Jordan Veretout, Marco Benassi, David Hancko; Giovanni Simeone, Kevin Mirallas.
FIORENTINA SUBS: Vincent Laurini, Cristiano Biraghi, Christian Norgaard, Gerson, Nicky Medja Beloko, Edimilson Fernandes, Martin Graiciar, Dusan Vlahovic, Luis Muriel, Vitor Hugo, Federico Brancolini, Simone Ghidotti.
Fiorentina are on a nine-match winless run in all competitions. They're safe in mid-table, while the one result outside of Serie A was their 3-3 draw against Atalanta in the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia. Vincenzo Montella's men stand in their way of Juve's quest for the crown and they will be determined to put up a stand against I Bianconeri in only the Italian's second game in charge.
Juve had not been at their best in the opening 45 mintues. They've been cut open time and again on the counter in the first half and could have been three goals down before Alex Sandro equalised. Cristiano Ronaldo has been quiet, while Federico Bernardeschi and Juan Cuadrado have not active enough down the flanks. Massimiliano Allegri will be frustrated with his team at the break, failng to produce a strong response from their recent disappointments.
Juventus are next in action against Inter Milan on the road next week in Serie A, while Fiorentina play the second leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final clash against Atalanta on Thursday.
Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
