This Group C clash is now underway!
Hello and welcome to our live text commentary of this Euro 2020 qualifying Group C clash between Belarus and Northern Ireland at Borisov Arena.
Belarus' success in their UEFA Nations League campaign hasn't translated to their Euro 2020 qualifying campaign so far. Three consecutive defeats have left Belarus rock bottom of Group C without a point after they lost 2-0 here to Germany a few days ago. Automatic qualification for them will now be an uphill struggle.
Northern Ireland, meanwhile, have started well, winning their opening three games including the reverse fixture between these two sides back in March. They're currently top of Group C ahead of Germany and the Netherlands, although they both have a game in hand. Can Michael O'Neill's men cement their strong position with another victory here?
BELARUS (5-3-2): Aleksandr Gutor; Igor Shitov, Denis Polyakov, Aleksandr Martynovich (c), Nikita Naumov, Pavel Nekhajchik; Nikita Korzun, Ivan Maevski, Igor Stasevich; Yuri Kovalev, Yevgeniy Shikavka.
SUBS: Valeri Gromyko, Maksim Skavysh, Pavel Pavlyuchenko, Mikhail Gordeychuk, Syarhey Kislyak, Maksim Volodko, Denis Laptev, Stanislav Dragun, Kirill Pechenin, Zakhar Volkov, Oleg Veretilo, Andrey Klimovich.
NORTHERN IRELAND (4-3-3): Bailey Peacock-Farrell; Michael Smith, Craig Cathcart, Jonny Evans, Jamal Lewis; Patrick McNair, Steven Davis (c), Corry Evans; Josh Magennis, Conor Washington, Jordan Jones.
SUBS: Liam Boyce, Jordan Thompson, Shane Ferguson, Mark Sykes, Stuart Dallas, Conor McLaughlin, Michael McGovern, Gareth McAuley, Kyle Lafferty, George Saville, Tom Flanagan, Conor Hazard.
The two teams enter the Borisov Arena pitch. Belarus will play in their usual all-white strip; Northern Ireland are handily wearing all-green.
That win puts Northern Ireland in a powerful position in Group C, still top of the group with 12 points and three points clear of Germany who thumped Estonia 8-0, although the Germans still have that game in hand. More importantly, they're already nine points ahead of the Netherlands in third having played two more. Their second consecutive European Championship qualification looks distinctly possible.
Belarus get the small respite of rising to fourth place in the group now Estonia's goal difference has taken a battering. They probably won't qualify, but they won't get humiliated either. That's it now for both sides until September. Will Northern Ireland qualify? Let's find out. Goodbye!
