Connolly's header from the centre of the box forces a routine catch from Pope. That looks like Brighton's last chance to salvage the win.
90' +1
J. Hendrick has scored a goal for Burnley! Assist by M. Vydra.
Vydra claims the assist, and Dyche frantically waves for his players to get back into position. This could be a frantic last few minutes, of which there will be four more!
GOAL! 1-1 BURNLEY! You have to feel for Brighton. Vydra lays off the ball to Hendrick, who skids a shot into the bottom right corner from outside the box. That's so against the run of play in this second half it's cruel.
90'
G. Bong enters the game and replaces S. March.
Connolly looks keen to make an impression in these final stages. The forward shoots ambitiously from the left of the box but it's well over.
Brighton decide to shore things up. March off. Bong on.
88'
Gross picks up the ball on the left and attempts to slide Connolly through on goal, but the 19-year-old is well offside.
86'
Burnley's substitutions have made no difference to their attacking threat whatsoever. The three points are surely Brighton's now, barring any last-minute mishaps.
84'
A. Connolly enters the game and replaces N. Maupay.
Maupay gets a rest for the last five minutes or so of this game. Brighton's teenage Irish forward Connolly replaces him up front.
83'
A. Westwood gets yellow.
Speaking of late, Westwood picks up a yellow for a high boot on Maupay.
81'
Propper puts a stop to a Rodriguez run through the middle with a great tackle. Brighton are holding firm to Burnley's late pressure as things stand.
80'
A. Mooy enters the game and replaces G. Murray.
Murray trots off to warm applause and a friendly pat from his manager. Former Huddersfield man Mooy replaces him. He must feel right at home in Brighton's similarly blue-and-white striped kit.
Minute
Description
78'
M. Vydra enters the game and replaces J. Cork.
Dyche decides to throw the kitchen sink at Brighton with Burnley's last change. Cork off. Vydra on.
76'
Rodriguez gets a sniff of goal after beating Duffy to the bounce but thankfully for him his team-mates are there to back him up. Up the other end. Murray's attempted cross - or shot? - from the left is abject.
74'
Duffy wins a foul in his own half when Rodriguez backs into him unfairly. Burnley don't look like scoring today.
72'
Brighton are not resting on their laurels. They want this win. Gross drifts down the inside-left from a throw-in and curls in a cross. Mee hooks it away.
70'
There's a stoppage in play as Tarkowski takes a knock from Maupay's strong but fair challenge. The Burnley centre-back goes off temporarily for treatment but he looks fine to continue.
68'
Brighton are continuing to probe for the second goal that will surely secure the win. Mee just beats Murray in a race to a through-ball and passes back to Pope, who clears.
67'
Rodriguez immediately makes his presence felt as he's caught offside from Pope's goal-kick.
66'
J. Rodríguez enters the game and replaces C. Wood.
It's another Burnley change. Wood off. Rodriguez on.
65'
Pope wins a free-kick when Duffy goes in too hard on him from a Brighton throw.
63'
Brighton look reasonably comfortable at the moment. You'd imagine they'd be disappointed if they didn't get the win from here.
59'
J. Hendrick enters the game and replaces A. Lennon.
Burnley elect to make a change. The rather ineffectual Lennon goes off. Hendrick replaces him.
55'
Brighton press Burnley back into their own half. Burnley can only lump it forward to Barnes, who soon loses out. Brighton have well and truly neutered Burnley for the moment.
53'
Burnley are back on the attack. Pieters' cross from the left is blocked and drops on top of Ryan's net. Burnley get a corner, then another. The second time, Tarkowski arrives late on Burn and Brighton are safe for now.
51'
N. Maupay has scored a goal for Brighton & Hove Albion! Assist by S. March.
GOAL! 1-0 BRIGHTON! Brighton deserve this as they've dictated the start of this half. March dinks a ball from the right towards Maupay who backs off, swivels and fires it past Pope!
That was a lovely assist by March, who spotted Maupay in a bit of space. Brighton have the lead!
49'
Maupay is set free into acres of space down the left. He aims for the near post and Pope kicks it out for a corner, which the keeper then catches with ease.
48'
Gross fizzes the corner back towards the edge of the box where Stephens is lurking. His shot's blocked and Propper blazes wide on the follow-up.
47'
March races after a through-ball down the right and succeeds in winning a throw. From the throw Brighton cross low and Lowton almost bobbles the ball into his own net! Brighton corner.
46'
No changes at half-time. Let's see what the second half brings.
45' +2
HALF-TIME: BRIGHTON AND HOVE ALBION 0-0 BURNLEY
45' +1
After a minor goalmouth scramble Propper's shot from the left of the box is blocked. Burnley eventually clear the ball away. That'll be that for now.
42'
March plays the ball off Pieters for a throw down Brighton's right. Nothing comes of it. Dunk successfully holds off Barnes and wins a foul. Burnley's main man has been neutralised so far.
40'
Dunk concedes a corner for Burnley, their fourth of the game. Brighton see it off without much trouble. Up the other end, Murray nods wide from March's cross.
37'
McNeil carries the ball down the left, holding off Webster. He passes back to Pieters, whose lofted ball towards Lennon on the right is met sweetly by the winger. His effort's intercepted but heading wide anyway.
35'
Gross tries another low delivery from the right. This time Maupay's air-kick follows through on Mee. Burnley free-kick.
33'
Gross and March combine down the right, giving Gross the chance to repeat what he just did a moment ago. Tarkowski is there to scramble it away.
31'
That's more like it. Brighton work a lovely string of passes together that give Gross the chance to cut back from the goal-line. Sadly the German's offside from Maupay's pass.
30'
Barnes wins a high ball and narrowly avoids getting a kick in the face from Propper. Burnley free-kick.
28'
Burnley get a free-kick after Burn commits a foul throw. The first half-hour of this game has been pretty poor.
27'
A. Lennon gets yellow.
26'
Lennon is booked for bringing down Murray after his loose touch hands the ball to Brighton's veteran striker.
24'
Pope boots the ball forward from the back and Burn heads it away. Burnley try the long ball again and Brighton win it again. Brighton's back three is nullifying Burnley's aerial threat, but it's not making for a great visual spectacle.
22'
Not a whole lot is going on at the moment. The quality's about what you'd expect from two sides who finished 15th and 17th in the Premier League last season.
20'
Brighton are slowly edging forward, claiming more territory. Murray wins a free-kick in Brighton's half as he's fouled by Westwood.
18'
Brighton are waking up now. Gross cuts inside from the right on his left foot and lets fly but his effort lands wide of the far post.
15'
McNeil picks up the ball on the right of the box from Westwood and floats an effort harmlessly wide of goal. Brighton are having to be patient so far.
13'
Brighton are living dangerously. McNeil powers down the left and drives in a low cross. It's intercepted and bounces up in the air. Burn nods it out for a corner.
11'
Barnes - Burnley's top goal threat - takes a ball down on the bounce in the inside-left channel. He tries a half-volley and only succeeds in blootering it into the stands.
9'
It's not the slickest game so far as Webster commits a foul. There have been four already.
7'
Burnley get the first corner of the game off March. Brighton see it away. The home side are spending most of their time in their own half at the moment.
5'
Lowton lofts the ball down the line for Lennon to chase but Burn is there to head it away. It looks like Brighton are playing their usual 3-4-3 with Burn at left wing-back and March at right wing-back.
3'
March latches onto Ryan's long clearance and powers down the right wing. He can't keep the ball in play though. A promising start for Brighton.
2'
Burnley start on the front foot as they get down Brighton's right flank. Stephens nips in to rob Pieters and put the ball out for a Burnley throw.
1'
And we're off! Referee Michael Oliver blows his whistle and Brighton get the game underway.
Hello and welcome to our live text commentary of this Premier League match between Brighton and Hove Albion and Burnley at the Amex Stadium.
Last season, this fixture might have been looked at as one between two stodgy sides. Although Brighton haven't experienced the new boss bounce they would have hoped for under Graham Potter yet, they've shown signs of improvement - they enjoyed more possession at the Etihad last time out than any side since Liverpool back in January. That's got to count for something, right?
Burnley, meanwhile, keep on chugging along. Having survived games against three of last season's top seven since winning on the opening day, Sean Dyche's side surely see this game as a likely source of three points. A repeat of the 3-1 win they grabbed in this exact fixture last year would be fine by them.
BRIGHTON AND HOVE ALBION (4-3-3): Mat Ryan; Adam Webster, Shane Duffy, Lewis Dunk (c), Dan Burn; Pascal Gross, Dale Stephens, Davy Propper; Neal Maupay, Glenn Murray, Solly March.
SUBS: Aaron Mooy, Gaetan Bong, Yves Bissouma, Aaron Connolly, Tudor Baluta, Steven Alzate, David Button.
BURNLEY: Nick Pope; Matthew Lowton, Ben Mee(c), James Tarkowski, Erik Pieters; Aaron Lennon, Jack Cork, Ashley Westwood, Dwight McNeil; Ashley Barnes, Chris Wood.
SUBS: Matej Vydra, Jeff Hendrick, Ben Gibson, Phil Bardsley, Robbie Brady, Jay Rodriguez, Joe Hart.
The two sides are out on the Amex pitch. Brighton haven't won their last seven league meetings with Burnley - they lost both Premier League games against them last season - nor their last seven home games. Will the Seagulls' tanker start turning around today?
Burnley can now look forward to hosting Norwich next week in what could be a relegation six-pointer. Brighton will have to pick themselves up and look for that next win away to Newcastle. If they carry on as they are, some luck must go their way eventually. That's all for now. Goodbye!
Burnley's late point leaves them 12th in the Premier League table on five points from five games. Brighton are 14th, just behind Burnley on goal difference. Neither side should worry too much yet, but that would have been a valuable win for Brighton in their battle to avoid the drop.
