United pump the ball forward from the back and Maguire is over-eager in challenging David Silva for it, handing City a free-kick. Bravo takes it, Jesus holds it up in the corner and that's that!
FULL TIME: MAN CITY 0-1 MAN UTD (3-2 AGGREGATE)

90' +3
Gabriel Jesus enters the game and replaces S. Agüero.
City substitution. Jesus comes on for Aguero, who trudges off disappointed. He knows he could have scored at least once here.
90' +2

87'
N. Otamendi gets yellow.
Otamendi's booked for that crude challenge. United now have a free-kick right on the edge of the D. They couldn't, could they?
86'
United can still equalise here but they're running out of time. Otamendi rushes in to slice away when Walker plays a square pass across goal. Fred skips over a few challenges in midfield and Maguire - who's up front for some reason! - is pushed over by Otamendi.
84'
Meanwhile, City continue their dominance. Aguero finishes with a first-time shot past De Gea after some beautiful build-up play, but the Argentine is just offside. A shame, really - that would have been a lovely goal.
80'
City spend a few seconds keeping possession at the back, wasting some more precious time for United. Martial dives into a challenge for a high ball and Otamendi cleans Walker out. The full-back will live.

Description
79'
Mata enters the game and replaces L. Shaw.
United make their third change, and it's an attacking one. Shaw off. Mata on.
78'
De Bruyne pops a pass to Aguero just outside the box and the Argentine swivels in an attempt to get a shot away. Shaw nips in to win the ball before he can do so.
77'
United have shown no real signs of scoring since their goal. They didn't even look like scoring before that, to be honest.
76'
N. Matić gets a second yellow card and is sent off.
RED CARD FOR MATIC! United tap the ball around on the edge of City's box to whistles from the home fans. De Bruyne intercepts and Matic unceremoniously barges Gundogan over as the German tries to break. That's Matic's second yellow card and he'll have to go! United will have to play at least the next 15 minutes with 10 men.
74'
City break quickly from a rare United attack. Aguero lashes a shot from the left into the side netting. This game is still delicately poised.
72'
City are growing in threat. Another attack breaks down as David Silva can't quite find the final pass. Shaw unwisely tries to play out from his own box and Maguire spares his blushes as he's intercepted.
70'
City get another corner, down their left this time. De Bruyne fires it into the centre of the six-yard box and United head clear. Walker stings De Gea's palms with a venomous shot from distance that the keeper pushes away.
69'
Martial clears the corner at the near post. City rebuild ready to come again. Sterling dribbles towards goal but Wan-Bissaka puts a stop to it with an Inspector Gadget leg.
68'
David Silva enters the game and replaces R. Mahrez.
City substitution. Mahrez has been eye-catching but ineffective here. David Silva comes on for him.
David Silva gets involved in the game instantly as he finds Sterling with a slide-rule pass between centre-back and full-back. Sterling cuts it back and City win their seventh corner of the game.
66'
City pass the ball from left to right, looking for their next chance. Mahrez jinks his way towards the six-yard box but can't beat Williams. United clear.
65'
Andreas Pereira enters the game and replaces J. Lingard.
United substitution. Lingard is replaced by Pereira.
64'
'Come on, City!' the home crowd chant. City lose the ball during another attack and United counter down the left through Martial. Martial can't keep his composure though and fires over the bar from the edge of the box.
62'
Walker fires a high pass forward from the back but that's no use for City's diminutive forwards. City get another opportunity shortly after but Bernardo Silva can't keep it in play.
60'
Sterling dashes forward down the left but Aguero can't do anything with his cross. De Bruyne bursts onto the scene and fires the ball across goal but De Gea drops low to catch it. City are picking up the pace again.
57'
Rodri gets yellow.
Rodri receives a yellow card for bringing down Lingard as the midfielder looked to get away.
56'
City are labouring to create another scoring chance now. De Bruyne chips the ball into the box but it lands safely in De Gea's arms.
54'
Martial gets sight of goal from Fred's pass and aims for the bottom right corner from outside the box. It's a comfortable save for Bravo, but that's another shot for United at least.
52'
Matic nearly lands himself in trouble as the Serbian commits a second foul in as many minutes. The referee decides to be lenient with him. Rodri's indirect free-kick is poor and goes out of play.
51'
N. Matić gets yellow.
Mahrez receives the ball and is promptly cut down by Matic. The Serbian earns himself a booking for the foul.
50'
United are growing into this game now. City still look confident but there's a hint of anxiousness about them all of a sudden.
48'
United get a free-kick to the right of City's box as Cancelo bundles over James. Fred curls it towards the far post and Maguire heads over. That's a pretty good, if not clear-cut, chance.
46'
D. James enters the game and replaces M. Greenwood.
Cancelo gets down the left and crosses inside for Aguero outside the box. Lindelof is there to intercept before the Argentine can get to it.
45' +2
HALF TIME: MAN CITY 0-1 MAN UTD (3-2 AGGREGATE)
45' +1
Lindelof almost hands City an equaliser! The Swede plays a no-look backpass towards De Gea from the flank but it's way undercooked and Aguero almost races onto it. Luckily for Lindelof, De Gea is alert and races off his line to snuff the chance out.
45'
Sterling cuts inside from the right and fires a shot against Lindelof. There's a shout for handball but it looks to have hit the Swede's shoulder. Play continues.
There'll be two added minutes in this first half.
United make a substitution at half-time. Greenwood - who was pretty invisible in the first half - is replaced by James.
United get this second half going. How will City respond to their first-half setback?
44'
Man City are entitled to feel frustrated that they're about to go in at half-time behind. They've easily been the better side, but De Gea has kept them out so far.
42'
Man City have the ball in the net but the flag's up. It comes from a flowing move that Sterling finishes at the far post, but he's yards offside. No VAR needed for that decision.
41'
Bernardo Silva jinks his way into the penalty area and drags a shot towards the far post. It's a slow roller of an effort that Man Utd's defenders wisely leave to let it go out of play.
40'
Mahrez picks up possession and looks for Aguero in the six-yard box again but it's headed away. Up the other end, Lingard goes down but finds no succour from the referee.
39'
De Bruyne powers towards Man Utd's box and is crowded out by the visitors' panicking defenders. Man City are upping the tempo again now.
35'
N. Matić has scored a goal for Manchester United!
GOAL! MAN CITY 0-1 MAN UTD! (3-2 AGG) Fred curls the free-kick in and Man City can't clear with the initial header. The rebound lands to Matic who rifles home on the half-volley from the right of the box. That's a great finish.
34'
Lingard tries to skip past Rodri and the makeshift defender chops the midfielder down. Man Utd have a free-kick from the left.
33'
Man City are pressing so high that Man Utd are struggling to get the ball out of their defensive third. The visitors manage to bypass the press and Wan-Bissaka wins a foul off Bernardo Silva down the right.
31'
Man Utd clear the corner and De Gea rises high to claim the ball back in but takes a knock in the process. Thankfully the Spaniard looks to be OK after some attention from the physios.
28'
Otamendi fouls Greenwood. Man Utd have a free-kick which Fred whips in. Matic tussles with Cancelo and tumbles in the box. No penalty.
27'
Mahrez comes across to take the corner and finds Otamendi who's making a beeline for the far post. Otamendi heads at goal but it's from a difficult angle and it goes high and wide.
25'
Mahrez latches onto a direct ball forward and holds the ball up in the box with Williams chasing. The Algerian hangs a cross up for Aguero with his left foot. Aguero doesn't get the header right and Lindelof puts it out for a Man City corner.
24'
De Bruyne finds himself in space from the edge of Man Utd's box and lets fly, but it's no threat to the visitors' goal.
23'
Man Utd play keep-ball at the back until De Gea has no option but to punt it forward. Man City's centre-backs gobble it up and the ball goes back in the City washing machine.
21'
Rodri flicks the ball behind him for De Bruyne who is barged in the back by Matic. That's a City free-kick deep in midfield.
19'
Man Utd are threatening, but only rarely. Williams over-runs a ball into the box and it rolls out for a Man City goal-kick.
15'
Man City are back on the ball after a United attack breaks down. All United can do is sit deep and wait.
11'
Man Utd win possession as Walker's attempted pass out from the back fails. The visitors have the chance to breathe for the first time in this match.
9'
Man City get three corners in a row that don't lead to very much, the first stemming from a Cancelo blocked shot. Sterling is aggrieved as he goes down in the box under some pressure, but the referee isn't persuaded.
5'
Man City are taking the game to their cross-city rivals early on. City work the ball down the left with some nice quick triangles between Sterling, Aguero and Bernardo Silva. Jones comes away with the ball near the byline and eventually gets rid.
3'
Man Utd are playing a 3-5-2 with Lingard deep in midfield. Sterling pops a ball inside to Aguero who takes a touch and drifts to the outside of the box. Lingard blocks the Argentine's pass and Rodri's follow-up shot.
2'
Man City start the game in their standard possession-hogging fashion. Walker looks to thread Aguero through on goal from deep. Maguire steps in to intercept.
Matic has been an unlikely saviour for United here. The Serbian's first-half goal was only his fourth goal for United and his first since December 2018. City are in a tricky position now - do they keep going for a win to kill the tie, or try to shut the game down and prevent the visitors scoring again?

And we're off! This EFL Cup semi-final second leg is now underway.
Hello and welcome to our live text commentary of this EFL Cup semi-final second leg match between Manchester City and Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium.
Man City enter this second leg clash with a firm advantage over Man Utd after defeating their Manchester rivals 3-1 in the first leg at Old Trafford three weeks ago. Victory here would make Man City only the third team to reach three EFL Cup finals in a row after Liverpool (1981-84) and Nottingham Forest (1978-80).
Man Utd have an uphill struggle on their hands to get to the final - only once in 29 ties have a team that's won an EFL Cup semi-final first leg by two goals or more gone on to be eliminated. However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men won their last visit to the Etihad 2-1 in the league last December. Can Man Utd record their first consecutive victories here for the first time since the new millennium? Let's find out!
MAN CITY (4-3-3): Claudio Bravo; Kyle Walker, Rodri, Nicolas Otamendi, Joao Cancelo; Kevin De Bruyne (c), Ilkay Gundogan, Bernardo Silva; Riyad Mahrez, Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling.

SUBS: Sergio Romero, Andreas Pereira, Daniel James, Juan Mata, Eric Bailly, Diogo Dalot, Phil Jones.
The two sides enter the Etihad Stadium pitch. Man City blast out their usual rendition of Blue Moon. They're wearing their usual sky blue shirts and white shorts. Man Utd are in red shirts and black shorts.
It's City who'll face Aston Villa in the EFL Cup final at Wembley then. That could be their first trophy of the season and could spur them on to further glory. United, meanwhile, drift on. It'll be a surprise if they win anything by the end of May. That's all for now. Goodbye!
