Hello and welcome to live coverage of the LaLiga meeting between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu!
This is the third Madrid derby of the season, with both previous games finishing 0-0 - in the league and in the Supercopa de Espana final which Madrid went on to win on penalties. Madrid are currently on a 20-match unbeaten run across all competitions (W14 D6) since losing to Real Mallorca in mid-October. Atletico, on the other hand, are winless in their last four outings in all competitions (D2 L2), failing to score in three of those.
ATLETICO MADRID SUBS: Antonio Adan, Thomas Lemar, Ivan Saponjic, Sergio Camello, Toni Moya, Mario Hermoso, Yannick Carrasco.
Despite creating fewer chances, Simeone's side looked the more likely team to score before the break. He will want to see more of an attacking threat from his team after the break though if they want to win this game. Madrid had a lot of half-chances in the first half and Zidane will expect them to be more clinical in the second half.
That's all for today, goodbye!
Madrid go six points clear at the top of the LaLiga table, with Barcelona not in action until tomorrow. Their unbeaten run now stretches to 21 games in all competitions and they'll be looking to continue that against Osasuna. Atletico stay in fifth for now but could drop further down depending on other results. Simeone will be hoping his team can end their winless run next time out against Granada.
