Leverkusen have reeled off impressive back-to-back wins since the Bundesliga restarted 10 days ago. Peter Bosz's men defeated Werder Bremen 4-1 on the road before overcoming Borussia Monchengladbach by a 3-1 scoreline last time out. Kai Havertz scored a combined four goals in those two matches to put his team into the Champions League places. They can strengthen their hold on a top-four spot with another victory tonight.
Good evening and welcome to the live commentary of the Bundesliga clash between Bayer Leverkusen and Wolfsburg at the BayArena.
Wolfsburg have endured an indifferent restart after suffering a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Borussia Dortmund at the weekend. The result stymied their momentum after previously beating Augsburg when Daniel Ginczek scored a last-minute winner. Oliver Glasner's men are holding on to sixth place, but will face a battle to remain in the final European spot until the end of the season.

Bayer Leverkusen boasted a fine record before entering the tonight's contest, but they've not been at their best. Kai Havertz had their best opening just before Pongracic found the net, but he could only head his attempt over the bar. It has not been easy for home teams in front of empty stadiums and it will take an effort for Leverkusen to rally tonight.
Bayer Leverkusen are next in action on the road against Freiburg on Friday, while Wolfsburg host Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.
Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
