Johnson kicks the game off for Forest, and we are underway in West Yorkshire!
Hello and welcome, to live coverage of this Premier League fixture, as relegation-threatened sides Leeds United and Nottingham Forest do battle at Elland Road.
A 4-1 loss at leaders Arsenal last time out coupled with results at the bottom end of the table, has seen Leeds slip into the bottom three, however the Whites have won two of their five games so far under new coach Javi Gracia.
Forest’s away record this season is dismal to say the least, with their solitary victory on the road coming at Southampton in January. Steve Cooper’s side are winless in their last seven league games and last won in early February – a 1-0 victory over Leeds at the City Ground which proved to be Jesse Marsch’s last match in charge.
LEEDS UNITED SUBS: Joel Robles, Liam Cooper, Crysencio Summerville, Darko Gyabi, Rodrigo Moreno, Georginio Rutter, Rasmus Kristensen, Wilfried Gnonto, Sam Greenwood.
LEEDS UNITED (4-2-3-1): Illan Meslier; Luke Ayling, Robin Koch, Pascal Struijk, Junior Firpo; Weston McKennie, Marc Roca; Luis Sinisterra, Brenden Aaronson, Jack Harrison; Patrick Bamford.
NOTTINGHAM FOREST SUBS: Wayne Hennessey, Joe Worral, Jonjo Shelvey, Taiwo Awoniyi, Sam Surridge, Cheikhou Kouyate, Gustavo Scarpa, Renan Lodi, Andre Ayew.
The teams walk out into the atmosphere of a packed Elland Road, and we're almost ready to go in this crucial clash at the bottom end of the table!
The teams are back on the pitch for the second 45 minutes, and can Leeds press home their first half dominance to seal three all-important points here?
Those three points send Leeds careering up the table, rising five places from 18th to 13th. There's hardly room to breathe though, given the Peacocks are just two points above the drop zone despite the five-place cushion. Losses for Bournemouth and Leicester in corresponding fixtures means Forest remain outside the bottom three on goal difference, though if their continually poor record away from the City Ground is not addressed, more losses on the road could well prove fatal to their bid for survival.
That's all from us, we hope you enjoyed that game! Goodbye for now, and we'll see you for the next one.
