Payet chases a Lainer ball cut loose on the right - and as he collects, the referee blows for full-time! Marseille are through to the knockout stages of the Europa League!
90' +3
Germain blasts a low shot into the arms of Walke off the back of a Ocampos pass from the left. Only a few seconds left...
90' +2
Marseille get a free-kick in their own half and are in no hurry to take it, with Sarr eventually haphazardly punting it downfield, as far away from his own goal-line as possible.
90'
Four added minutes. Even if the scoreline is to change elsewhere in Group I, all Marseille have to do is hold on and not concede.
89'
Some news that might make Marseille breathe that little bit more easy - it's all square in Portugal right now, with Konyaspor posting an own goal to level the scores.
87'
Berisha! That could have been the goal to kill Marseille dreams; instead, Rolando's late touch on the Salzburg man's stike from a Lainer cross will give the visitors a corner.
85'
Germain concedes a free-kick in his own half now and holds his hand up to apologise. It gives Salzburg a chance to make easy yards into Marseille territroy; an alert Rami and Sarr do enough to outmuscle the attack though and bring the ball back to halfway.
83'
It's a poor effort from both sets of players in terms of challenging for the ball and Marseille's corner swings out instead for a goal kick.
82'
Germain! The Marseille man cuts into the box on the left and can't slip a shot under Walke's right edge as the keeper pushes it out/ Corner to the hosts.
81'
Hwang Hee-Chan gets yellow.
Hwang is very lucky to not to be off there. The Salzburg man comes in kung-fu style at Sarr's ankle and lands a glancing blow. He gets booked for it; he's fortunate that the referee did not have a better angle.
Minute
Description
79'
Leitgeb! The substitute sprays a shot from the right edge of box across the face of goal, very nearly putting it into the bottom left corner. Marseille are on edge.
77'
C. Leitgeb enters the game and replaces A. Haidara.
And for the visitors, Haidara is replaced by Christoph Leitgeb.
76'
V. Germain enters the game and replaces C. N'Jie.
Some final changes incoming now; N'Jie makes way for Germain for the hosts...
75'
Sarr goes close! The defender cuts a very good zig-zag line through and around the Salzburg defence in the box, and though squeezed out to the right, still pulls off a shot that forces Walke to dive and save.
73'
Walke is thankfully alright to continue and Marseille are now choosing to fight fire with fire, pushing up their attack en masse to deal with the Salzburg threat.
71'
A stoppage now for treatment to Wilke after the keeper takes a knock coming out of his box to deal with a Payet long ball that Ocampos was sniffing after.
69'
Lopez sends a billowing cross into the box from the right flank again; it skims over the heads of Payet and the defence, eventually running wide to Ocampos who is pressured away by Miranda.
68'
D. Payet enters the game and replaces M. Sanson.
Now Payet enters the fray for the hosts, in place of Sanson.
67'
It falls to Schlager to turn it in and Mandanda rises to the occasion, punching the ball back into open play. Marseille survive, yet Salzburg have suddenly found the drive to chase the win here and the hosts are struggling to contain them.
65'
The corner is fairly soft and Marseille look to clear through Rami - but then, he loses the ball to Dabbur and concedes another free-kick, this time on the edge of the box itself on its right side, trying to reclaim the ball.
63'
Salzburg get a free-kick now, out on the left, and curl it into the box from 25 yards out. Marseille think they've dealt with the danger - only for Lainer to blast a deflection back in and earn a corner from the rebound.
61'
R. Yabo enters the game and replaces D. Samassékou.
Another change now, with Samassekou replaced by Reinhold Yabo.
60'
It's a near instant impact from Hwang who scythes through the Marseille midfield and looks to canter into the box, before tumbling down under the pressure from Rolando. Salzburg appeal for a penalty; none is forthcoming.
59'
Hwang Hee-Chan enters the game and replaces F. Gulbrandsen.
A change for Salzburg too now as Gulbrandsen is replaced by Hee-Chan Hwang.
Marseille look to break away and attack through Gustavo again, only for him to loose the ball and then hack at the legs of Haidara as he tries to recover. Free-kick to Salzburg.
57'
D. Ćaleta-Car gets yellow.
Caleta-Car gets a yellow for that tackle too.
56'
Marseille get a free-kick out wide on the right edge of the Salzburg box now after Caleta-Car flies in with a two-footed tackle that sends Lopez sprawling. They turn it in - and Ulmer clears again with no difficulty.
54'
It's a wasted corner from a Marseille perspective as the ball goes straight to Ulmer who works it back into midfield for the visitors.
53'
Now Lopez has a go himself, fed from within the box by N'Jie, taking it to the right. He turns and shoots - and what a save from Walke! Heading for the top left corner, the keeper manages to somehow turn it out with one hand. Great effort from the Salzburg man to steer it away there.
52'
Lopez floats a long cross from the right into the box looking for Sanson; it just drifts past him and Miranda lumps it away.
50'
Now Dabbur goes close for Salzburg, just deflecting Schlager's square pass across the face of goal out wide at the far right post with a messy touch. Lax defence from the hosts there.
48'
Lopez! What a volley from the Marseille man! He takes the cross from the left flank as he cuts close to the edge of the box and lets off an outrageous right-footed effort that forces Walker to leap high to his right to tip it away.
47'
It's Salzburg who get the first sniff too, with Dabbur steering a low shot between the legs of Sarr and Rami that forces Mandanda to dive to his right to stop.
46'
We're back underway in France - can Marseille find the goal they crave to give them some breathing space? Remember, a draw will be enough - but with Konyaspor leading in Portugal, they have to avoid defeat still to progress as it stands.
45' +1
One minute of added time here but it could be longer; the referee is having to break up Gulbrandsson and Gustavo after the latter put a sharp tackle on the form and they both responded by butting heads. The pair are separated, Marseille get the free kick, send it long and put it out wide for the half-time whistle!
44'
This has been a frustrating half for Marseille, though as things stand, they will still be progressing. A goal would certainly give them a degree of comfort right about now.
42'
Sanson goes down from a nip at the back heel courtesy of Samassekou with no real malice and play is stopped for a moment for him to recieve treatment.
40'
N'Jie! The crowd rose to their feet there as the Marseille man picked out a wonderful cross in midfield and cut loose down the right to hound into the box unopposed - only to slip and trip over the ball as he looks to bury the ball behind the keeper, foiling his own attack.
38'
Another Marseille free-kick as Schlager slides in with a raised foot.. He was lucky not to make contact with Sarr there - and even more fortunate not to receive a card at all too.
36'
Gustavo goes hunting a loose pass at the back from Samassekou and looks to capitalise on the error, only for the defender to recover possession as he sweeps in and shift the ball into midfield.
34'
Now Marseille get a free-kick as Rolando is half grappled by Gulbrandsen in a tackle.
32'
N'Jie breaks looks on the back of a long through-ball down the left and tries to cut inside to better the angle for a shot - but it gives Miranda enough time to double back and insert himself in a position to block and deflect.
30'
Marseille break out of the centre-circle scrap Salzburg have held them in and look to advance again, only for Zambo's shot to skip weakly to the foot of Walke who has little problem dealing with the danger.
28'
L. Ocampos gets yellow.
Ocampos gets a booking now after a frustrated challenge from being caught in the centre of the park sees him lead with an elbow in the tackle.
27'
Salzburg are playing this game very much in the manner of a team who are a few goals up, it must be said. Going forward seems to be less a priority than simply holding Marseille in a midfield trap - and even then, their defence seems relatively relaxed, unconcerned by the harassment recieved from their opponents.
25'
Marseille are forced on the back foot for a moment, as Salzburg create a neat counter move through Gulbrandsen and Lainer, and the German outfit pepper the defence with a few trick shots to rattle them.
23'
Now Lopez bounds down the right after a through-ball swept downfield by Rami, and again, Caleta-Car gets the better read, ushering it out for a goal kick.
21'
Sanson looks to make the connection again with a long ball from N'Jie, curled back in from the left, only for Caleta-Car to beat him to it.
19'
Ocampos cuts a path down the left wing again and delivers a pass across the face of the box looking for someone - anyone - to tap it in or clear. Instead, all players overrun it and eventually Ulmer recovers out wide on the opposite side.
17'
Against the current run of play, a neat long ball from Samassekou finds Dabbur on the right, and he manages to weave his way between two defenders to nip into the Marseille box, only to find be pushed out by some great defence from Sakai,
15'
Walke puts on a brave diving save, coming off his line to sweep the ball out from under the feet of Lopez, chasing a through ball from Gustavo. Marseille are throwing a lot at this Salzburg defence so far.
13'
Sanson! The Marseille man blows a shot over the net in a similar fashion to Zambo as a deflected cross falls into his path just inside the box.
11'
Salzburg are unable to capitalise however and Sarr sees it out for a goal-kick despite pressure from Schlager again.
10'
Berisha gets a free-kick just inside his own half now after Zambo shoves him whilst challenging for the ball.
8'
Now Schlager hares down the left wing for Salzburg, looking to cut around on the wide side, only to pressed out by Sarr.
6'
What a chance for Zambo! A deflected cross into the box from Sanson on the left falls back to the feet of the midfielder who blasts it over the net from 25 yards out in front. Marseille could have had the lead there.
4'
Down the other end, Marseille have a go through Ocampos, who slips behind Miranda; the right back manages to double back and retake possession before he can launch a good shot though.
3'
An early whiff of a chance for the visitors too, as Dabbur plays a delicious through ball to Berisha, only for the midfielder's cross to find no one as he cuts it across the box from the left.
1'
And we're off! Marseille, in all white, are playing right to left and kick us off; Salzburg in navy and green. Haidara tumbles in an early tackle and the visitors get a free-kick in their own half that comes to nothing.
Hello and welcome to the final matchweek of the group stages of the 2017/18 UEFA Europa League, as Marseille look to advance to the knockout stages and join opponents Salzburg in the draw for the round of 32. The German outfit are already through having topped Group I – and their hosts know that they need only a point to qualify. Can they go a step further and get all three? Kick-off is just around the corner.
Dependent on results elsewhere in Group I, a draw will be enough for Marseille regardless of the result between Konyaspor and Vitoria de Guimaraes. Victory for the latter and defeat for the Olympians however will see the Portoguese outfit proceed on a tiebreaker, whilst a reversed result at the Estádio D. Afonso Henriques will send the Turkish team through. Avoid defeat though, and the French side are through – that is the bottom line for them.
Salzburg have enjoyed an undefeated run in the Europa League so far this season and won 1-0 in the reverse fixture back in September in Germany. They have a mixed recent relationship in Europe against French opposition though; against Nice last year in the Europa League, they lost at home, then proved victorious at the Allianz Riviera. Against opposition enjoying a fine domestic season though, they’ll do well to be wary.
Teams are out in France and we're about to get underway...
Despite their attack play far outranking that of their opponents, Marseille are yet to find the breakthrough they desire against a wily Salzburg outfit. As things remain, the draw will be enough - but the sense of desperation in the hosts to find that goal palpable. Half-time in France, it's Marseille 0-0 Salzburg.
It's still going in Portugal but that no longer matters; by holding the Group I winners to a goalless draw, Marseille make it into the round of 32 for the first time in two years. They didn't make it easy for themselves - with 15 shots and only four on target - and there were points where they were frustrated and then hounded by a Salzburg side determined to not give them a free pass. In the end though, they held out at the back - and head into the draw for the knockout stages once more. Full-time in France, it finishes Marseille 0-0 Salzburg. Thank you for joining us - and have a great weekend!
